So, you think that you own a lot of shoes? Florida native Penny Gold has you beat – she owns a whopping 733 pairs of Converse shoes. The 63-year-old began wearing a different pair of Converse shoes each day while she was teaching, challenging her students to spot her wearing the same pair twice during the school year.

Her infatuation with Converse shoes began in 1960s, when Converse shoes were the official shoe of the New York Knicks. Over the years, she has collected everything from music-themed sneakers to a pair with a 3-D fried egg on it.

Gold has just finished documenting each and every pair of shoes in her Converse collection, and she's now in line to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. The current record is only 403 pairs.

“It was crazy and so much fun,’’ said Gold in an MSNBC article. “My family all thinks I'm crazy, but they love it, and they support it because I won't spend regular price on the sneakers. If you’re going to have to have a habit, this is at least a clean, healthy habit.’’
