by PitHere's my story. I tried this boot at the Granville store in size UK 4 (ladies 6) before ordering online, as it wasn't in my size and colour there. Based on that, I ordered a UK 4 online and it arrived in 2 business days. Yeah. But unfortunately I could not fit my foot into the boot. At all. I couldn't understand. I went back to the Granville store to try a 4 UK in the Dr. Martens R11838002 1461 Black Smooth (shoe) that they kindly held for me, thinking that a shoe might be an easier fit. When I tried them they were really wide and fit in length like a ladies 7. Way too big. One of the girls in the store brought out a smaller size, a 3 UK in the shoe, and this fit perfectly. When I arrived home, I found a sticker in each shoe that indicated "Mens". I am completely happy with the fit, Mens or otherwise. So my suggestion to anyone wishing to purchase a Dr. Martens boot or shoe is to make inquiries about fit. I had thought the sizing and fit were unisex but they are not.
PS the staff at the Granville store, both times, were friendly and helpful!
