History of Dr. Martens shoes starts more than 100 years ago , but the first true iconic boot emerged in 1960. A distinctive yellow welt stitch, a two tone grooved sole edge and a unique sole pattern were nothing else, but well known 1460 boot. Launched as a functional work-boot in a short amount of time it became a fashion and cultural statement, symbol of rebellion and social revolution.
The 8 eye Delaney boots offers ultimate support for small feet, without compromising on the Dr. Martens iconic style and attitude. Made from a classic soft full grain leather and with a cemented sole to ensure comfort and flexibility, the Delaney carries all the DNA of the 1460 boot - heel loop, yellow stitching, black eyelets, and also has a front lace and side zip for ease of wearing. The sole unit is hardwearing and offers great slip resistance.
A slighty milled, snuffed leather, with a medium to heavy pull-up and a strong oily surface.
Clean Away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry apply a clear wax based shoe polish to restore shine as desired. In the event of heavy scuffing or loss of colour then clean as before but add a matching coloured wax based shoe polish and buff up the leather with brush and cloth as required.
